Life As It Presents Itself

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin--real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life." -- Alfred D. Souza

Back on track to a slightly more sporty lifestyle. Something which I'm more accustomed to when I was a teenager. Haha... Require less sleep then perhaps. Now as age catches up with me, the body is sounding out that I need more sleep. Haha... :D Love to listen to soft music and, sit back and relax these days. Catching up with some old friends over the weekends over a cuppa tea, coffee, or booze is something of a norm in recent yrs too. :)

The Past

"What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now!"

What I'm trying to bring out is that everyone has a past, be it a past filled with happiness, joy and laughter or sadness, pain and hurt. It's gd to remember the past sometimes, the mistakes that we all have committed, learn from it and not commit it again in the future, but not to the extent of dwelling on it. We have done many things, things that are foolish or even hurtful, things that bring joy and happiness to others and to ourselves. Who hasn't had a black mark in our life's report card; a blemish in our lives? Past is there to teach us, to strengthen us, to enrich us, to lead us into the present and future.

Move on! You have a choice to dwell in the past and to live in it, or to take it in your stride and live the present, to move into the future.

I'll leave you with a quote from William Shakespeare: "Things without remedy, should be without regard; what is done, is done."

Till the next blog. Cheers to all.
