Life As It Presents Itself

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin--real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life." -- Alfred D. Souza

Back on track to a slightly more sporty lifestyle. Something which I'm more accustomed to when I was a teenager. Haha... Require less sleep then perhaps. Now as age catches up with me, the body is sounding out that I need more sleep. Haha... :D Love to listen to soft music and, sit back and relax these days. Catching up with some old friends over the weekends over a cuppa tea, coffee, or booze is something of a norm in recent yrs too. :)

The Past

"What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now!"

What I'm trying to bring out is that everyone has a past, be it a past filled with happiness, joy and laughter or sadness, pain and hurt. It's gd to remember the past sometimes, the mistakes that we all have committed, learn from it and not commit it again in the future, but not to the extent of dwelling on it. We have done many things, things that are foolish or even hurtful, things that bring joy and happiness to others and to ourselves. Who hasn't had a black mark in our life's report card; a blemish in our lives? Past is there to teach us, to strengthen us, to enrich us, to lead us into the present and future.

Move on! You have a choice to dwell in the past and to live in it, or to take it in your stride and live the present, to move into the future.

I'll leave you with a quote from William Shakespeare: "Things without remedy, should be without regard; what is done, is done."

Till the next blog. Cheers to all.

Life's Events

Life is sometimes full of unexpected events. Events that are sometimes gd and well received, while others are not. Events in life can sometimes take on an unexpected turn for the better or worse. Sometimes things just catch you unaware or when ya least expect it to. Sometimes plans are put in place, only to be foiled at the last moments. Sometimes, plans go well as planned and even better. One can only sometimes wish that things or events in life can be as smooth sailing as it can be, hoping to lead the perfect life with no turmoils and pains, but only joy and happiness. Life... So full of surprises that can sweep you off your feet and bring you up to seventh heaven, or shocks that will bring you to ya knees, begging for mercy. Ironic as it may seem, that's life.

Till the next blog. Cheers.

Black Discrimination

Title may seem like a racial discrimination thingy but no worries, it's not. It's just on the colour black. Don't understand why some pple discriminates the colour black so much. Black is the colour of authority and power, but it is also the colour for evil or the unauspicious. Some pple feel that black is for the state of mourning, and hence despise the colour. But isn't white top being worn during funerals? So why isn't white being discriminated in the same way? This is really illogical. Makes no sense to me, but haven't got a choice. Black isn't the 'in' colour for me now for maybe in the future as well, as a mark of respect I guess. Who knows.....

Till the next blog, cheers!!!
